Darius Jenkins

Darius Jenkins grew up on Fort Myer in Arlington, Virginia, where his father served as a U.S. Army Sergeant Major and his mother worked as a preschool teacher. Being raised in a community built on service, consistency, and accountability continues to influence the way he approaches lending and client relationships today.

He began his career in information technology before transitioning into the mortgage industry more than 21 years ago. Since then, Darius has focused on helping homebuyers throughout the Washington, D.C. Metro Area navigate the mortgage process with clarity and confidence. His approach emphasizes education, transparency, and straightforward communication.

Darius has been selected multiple times by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the region’s Best Mortgage Professionals, an honor determined by thousands of nominations from real estate agents and magazine subscribers. The recognition highlights professionals known for strong customer service and trusted guidance—values that define his work.

He is also a trusted educator in the community. Darius has been invited to speak at over 200 homebuying seminars on behalf of the Virginia Housing Authority, providing guidance to first-time buyers across Northern Virginia, a role he continues today.

His experience also extends to broadcast media. He previously co-hosted the real estate radio show “The Real Hour,” where he shared mortgage insights, market trends, and practical information for buyers and homeowners throughout the region.

At GNB Mortgage, Darius works alongside a team of longtime colleagues to deliver a modern, borrower-focused lending experience centered on responsiveness, clarity, and trust.

Outside of the mortgage world, Darius serves as co-chair of the Corporate Sponsorship Committee for the Reston Pride Festival and leads a 7,500-member national bourbon group. He also shares practical mortgage education and market updates across social media platforms.

A lifelong Green Bay Packers fan and shareholder, Darius is also passionate about music—especially The Beatles, jazz, and a wide variety of other genres. He lives in the DC Metro Area with his wife, who works in education.
